His Excellency Mr. Saqr Bin Mubarak Al Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, stated that the State of Qatar has chosen the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as one of the first 8 countries to lounge “Qatar Visa Center outside the State of Qatar”.  He noted that this center will facilitate the issuance of visas for Pakistani citizens.

His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar said that the objectives of the project are many, including:

  • Guarantee the rights of the worker by attesting the contracts that the worker agreed to its terms of work in Qatar before their arrival to the country.
  • Reduce exploitative practices that may be exercised by some employers and intermediaries to the rights of the employees
  • Avoid cases of returning the worker to his country if he is not fit to obtain a residence permit in the State of Qatar or for any reason that may prevent him from entering the State of Qatar.
  • The possibility of the worker starting to work with his employer immediately upon his entry into the country and his entitlement to be paid for that.
  • To facilitate the procedures of recruitment by providing all the procedures required to be completed by the worker in his country as a legal requirement to come to the state of Qatar and obtain a residence permit, which is the signing of contracts of employment, medical examination and fingerprints.
  • Providing modern and suitable centers in terms of location and providing services quickly and easily.
His Excellency added that selecting Pakistan among the first 8 countries for this project shows the determination of the Qatari government to support and strengthen relations between the two countries.
