Pakistan President Meets Qatar's UNESCO Candidate

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain met last night at the presidential palace in Islamabad with HE Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, adviser at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar's candidate for the director general post at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). 
During the meeting, Qatar's candidate conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the president of Pakistan and his best wishes of more progress and prosperity to the Pakistani people. 
For his part, the president entrusted Dr. Al Kuwari to convey his greetings to HH the Emir, wishing him continued good health and happiness and the people of Qatar further development and prosperity. 
The president praised the strong bilateral relations between both nations, hoping for more cooperation in different fields in the future and stressing his support for the Qatari candidate. 
HE Dr. Al Kuwari briefly presented his vision and plan to fight the obstacles facing the organization, and thanked the president for his time. 
Dr. Al Kuwari has previously met with the Pakistani adviser to the prime minister on foreign affairs, Sartaj Aziz, and presented him with his vision and answered all questions raised by the adviser, who wished him good luck in his mission. 
In addition, the Qatari candidate presented his vision to Marriyum Aurangzeb, minister of state for information broadcasting and national heritage, who praised the cultural bilateral relations, hoping to develop them further. 
Aurangzeb praised Qatar's role in preserving Islamic heritage through the UNESCO, which is a vision compatible with Pakistan due to its importance and the necessity to develop it in the future. 
The meetings were attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Pakistan Saqr bin Mubarak Al Mansouri. (QNA)
