H. E. Eng. Khuram Dastagir, Commerce Minister of Pakistan along with his accompanied delegation called on H. E. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Jasim Bin Mohammad Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Trade.

During the meeting, issues related to bilateral relations were discussed along with working on bathes for better cooperation especially on commerce, trade and investments and how to develop it even more.

It is to mention that number of trade agreements were signed between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan i.e. bilateral encouragement and protection of investments that was signed on 6/4/1999 and economic cooperation agreement that was signed on 16/4/1984.

Trade volume between the two countries in 2016 was about 2.85 Billion Riyal.  Pakistan is considered the trade partner number 21 of the State of Qatar.
