HE Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met with HE Saqr bin Mubarak Al Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the meeting, the Ambassador gave a detailed briefing on the Gulf Crisis especially on the illegal actions taken by the blockade countries against the State of Qatar, emphasizing on the fact that it is not legal and contradict the international norms.  It also contradict the United Nations charter and international human rights laws in addition to the humanitarian and social damage it caused along with the instability to the security of the region.

On his part, HE the Chief Minister of Punjab affirmed the good and distinct relations between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, expressing his hope for this crisis to be resolved through dialog among all parties to preserve the stability of the region and confirming the support of Pakistan to the Kuwaiti mediation to solve the crisis.
