Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan: We have close ties with Pakistan

"We have strong relations with Pakistan and our country has taken important steps in granting visas and work permits to Pakistanis.  Cooperation between the two countries in various fields is improving," said Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan Saqr bin Mubarak Al Mansouri.

"Pakistan and Qatar have a strong and a genuine friendship," the Qatari ambassador said during an interview with Such channel on Qatar's national day.  There is a lot of Pakistani manpower working in Qatar, and the State of Qatar appreciates the Pakistani workers who work in various fields and Qatar respects the rights of foreign workers.

Qatar and Pakistan recently signed two major agreements, one on Pakistan's import of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar, and another in the Pakistan China Economic Corridor through two energy projects.

"There is good news for Pakistanis who want to visit Qatar for business or tourism," said Saqr bin Mubarak, as his country has agreed to grant free tourist visas at the airport as Pakistanis consider Qatar to be their second country.

At the end of the meeting, the Qatari ambassador to Pakistan said that his country is committed to strengthening relations between the two countries and hopes for more strong relations in the future.
