His Excellency General / Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, received His Excellency Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Pakistan, at Joint Staff Headquarters in Islamabad.

During the meeting, they discussed different aspects of the existing cooperation between the two countries in various fields and ways to enhance it. They also exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in military and

defense fields. Regional and international developments and other issues of common concern were also discussed. His Excellency Gen. Nadeem Raza appreciated the role of the State of Qatar in efforts to restore security and stability in the region by facilitating and hosting Afghan peace talks.

His Excellency Gen. Nadim Raza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, congratulated His Excellency Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on being appointed as Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Pakistan, wishing HE the Ambassador success in his duties in Islamabad.

His Excellency Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, affirmed the desire of the State of Qatar to develop the existing ties of cooperation with Pakistan, reaffirming the determination to work to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in accordance with the directives of the Qatari leadership.
