The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Islamabad celebrated the National Day of the State of Qatar in a ceremony held at the embassy, attended by the members of the Diplomatic Mission, Military Attaché and local employees, in view of the Covid-19 and the precautionary measures it requires.

Speaking on this occasion, HE Ambassador Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani extended the congratulations and greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh / Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, His Highness the father Amir Sheikh / Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and to all the Qatari people and residents of the State of Qatar alongside the Pakistani people who join the Qatari people in celebrating this precious national occasion.

HE the Ambassador affirmed that the State of Qatar and Pakistan have very unique historical relations, and enjoy strong cooperation based on solid foundations, which have witnessed remarkable development in recent years, in all fields, noting that the number of Pakistanis working in the State of Qatar has been doubled, and we appreciate their role in The development of the State of Qatar.

HE the Ambassador pointed out that Qatar Foundation has been participating,under its “Educate a Child” program since 2012, in educating out of school children in Pakistan, and Qatar also supports the Pakistan National Program to eradicate polio.

HEthe Ambassador added: “This year,we are celebrating this occasion in exceptional circumstances, as the Covid-19 continues to spread around the world, mentioning that the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Islamabad has performed its duty and provided medical and preventive assistance from Qatar Charity to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to support Pakistan's efforts against COVID-19.

HE the Ambassador concluded saying: “I hope that the bilateral relations will witness further development and progress and the Covid-19 will end in the near future so the life returns to normal again and we can celebrate this national occasion together.
