His Excellency Dr. Arif Alvi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, received His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at the Presidential Palace in Islamabad today.

HE the Ambassador conveyed to His Excellency the President of Pakistan greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar and His Highness' wishes for His Excellency the President’s health and well-being, and for the prosperity, development, health and wellness of the brotherly people of Pakistan.

HE the Ambassador expressed gratitude and appreciation for accepting Excellency’s credentials as Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, stating that the State of Qatar and Pakistan have distinguished historical relations that have been strengthened over time thanks to mutual keenness and desire to enhance these relations in all fields.

His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said that it is an honor to represent the State of Qatar in Islamic Republic of Pakistan working for the development of close ties between the two brotherly countries as directed by the Qatari leadership, praying the Almighty to protect Pakistan and its people from this virus, and for the life to become soon normal again.
