His Excellency Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on Wednesday, 24/2/2021, visited the Qatar Visa Center in Islamabad, to review the work progress since the center resumed providing services after it was temporarily closed as part of the precautionary measures to confront the spread of Covid - 19. HE the Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Nasser Hassan Al-Suwaidi, Third Secretary at Qatar Embassy, Islamabad.

HE General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met on Monday with HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani and his accompanying delegation during their current visit to Islamabad.

HE Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, met with HE Ambassador Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. They discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them, in addition to other issues of common interest.

His Excellency Ambassador Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani received at his office, His Excellency Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad. During the meeting, they exchanged cordial conversation and discussed issues of common interest.

On the occasion of Qatar’s National Sports Day, Qatar Embassy Islamabad organizedvarious sport activities in presence of HE Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, members of the diplomatic mission and military attaché and the local staff. In his statement on this occasion, HE the Ambassador said that the State of Qatar is currently playing an increasingly prominent and effective role in the field of sports. Qatar is using sports as a reason to forge friendship and to enhance the relations with nations worldwide and has expressed the wish to be active around the world as an outward looking state dedicated to the improvement of relations between nations through sports.

HE Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, met with HE HE Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, General Qamar JavedBajwa. They reviewed military cooperation between the two sides, and means of strengthening and developing them.

HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received HE Chief of Army Staff of PakistanGeneral Qamar JavedBajwa, during his visit to the State of Qatar, to attend Graduation Ceremony of Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College. The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Pakistan and the means to enhance them, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments.

HE Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, met with HE Chief of Staff of Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan. They reviewed military cooperation between the two sides, and means of strengthening and developing them. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers from both sides.
