The State of Qatar welcomes "Al-Ula Declaration" announced on the sidelines of the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), which was held in Al-Ula Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. This meeting comes in at this decisive moment as an extension of the joint work process in its Gulf, Arab and Islamic framework, and in favor of the supreme interest in a way that strengthens the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between peoples, anchoring the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.

The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that took place in the Balochistan region in Pakistan, which resulted in deaths and injuries. In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm position of rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of the motives and reasons. The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Pakistan, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

HE Amiri Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Hazza bin Khalil al-Shahwani met with HE Chairman of Pakistan's Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Nadeem Raza.During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the two sides were reviewed, and ways to enhance and develop them.

HE Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed ForcesMajor General Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, met with HEGeneral Nadeem Raza, Chairman of Pakistan's Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest and means to advance them. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers in the Qatari Armed Forces.

HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs met with HEGeneral Nadeem Raza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common concern between the two sides and ways of enhancing and developing them.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Islamabad celebrated the National Day of the State of Qatar in a ceremony held at the embassy, attended by the members of the Diplomatic Mission, Military Attaché and local employees, in view of the Covid-19 and the precautionary measures it requires. Speaking on this occasion, HE Ambassador Sheikh / Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani extended the congratulations and greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh / Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, His Highness the father Amir Sheikh / Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and to all the Qatari people and residents of the State of Qatar alongside the Pakistani people who join the Qatari people in celebrating this precious national occasion.

HE Ambassador Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met with HE Iranian Ambassador Syed M. Ali Hosseini and discussed issues of common concern. HE the Ambassador expressed Qatar's condolences and condemnation of the assassination of the Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh

HE Commander Qatar Amiri Air Force Staff Maj Gen (Pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet, met with HE Gen Nadim Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Bilateral professional interest, regional security environment, and strengthening of security & defense cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

HE President Dr Arif Alvi met with HE Commander Qatar Amiri Air Force Maj Gen (pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet and accompanying delegation. Strengthening bilateral relations in all fields was discussed while HE Ambassador Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani was also present.

Commander Qatar Amiri Air Force, Maj Gen (pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet met with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi at Naval Headquarters. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security & bilateral collaboration were discussed.
