HH the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani took part in the opening session of the General Debate of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which kicked off at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday in the presence of Their Highnesses and Excellencies leaders of states and heads of governments and delegations of governmental, regional and international organizations and civil society institutions.

HE Malik Amin Aslam, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Climate Change, met with HE Mr Saqr bin Mubarak Al Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Pakistan at the Ministry of Climate Change where they discussed issues of common concern.

Upon the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani announced new investments in the form of deposits and direct investments in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan worth a total of $3 billion.
