The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the explosion that took place in the city of Peshawar West of Pakistan and led to a number of injuries. In a statement on Saturday 5th January, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the State of Qatar's firm position that rejects violence and terrorism regardless of the motivations and reasons.

On Thursday 27/12/2018, the “Qatari Visa Center abroad” has been inaugurated in the capital of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad, as part of efforts to facilitate the expatriates coming into the country.

Pakistan PM telephoned the H. H. the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar received a telephone call from His Excellency Mr. Imran Khan, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, during which they discussed bilateral relations and means of supporting them, in addition to discussing a number of issues or common interest.

Members and Students of Peshawar University Pakistan and Engineering and Technology Lahore celebrated the National Day of the State of Qatar on 18/12/2018. Students paintings reflected their enthusiasm and love to the State of Qatar and they wished their best on this occasion to the Government and people of the State of Qatar

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar. The ceremony was attended by high profile official and public representatives, His Excellency Mr. Khusro Bakhtiar, Federal Minister of Planning, Development and Reform was the Chief Guest. Among attendees there was H. E. Mr. Shehryar Afridi, Minister of State for Interior, H. E. Mr. Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari, Special Assistant to Prime Minister and Minister of State on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, Senator Mr. Talha Mahmood, Senator Ms. Sitara Ayaz and Senator Naseem Ullah Khan, representing His Excellency Mr. Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan.

Brussels, November 24 (QNA) - The International Labor Organization (ILO) and FIFA hailed the reforms adopted by the State of Qatar to protect human rights and expatriate workers.

HE Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari, PM Special Assistant & Minister of State for OP & HRD, received members of the Qatari delegation during their visit to Pakistan and discussed bilateral relations, especially with regard to manpower and issues related to Qatar visa centers abroad

In recognition of the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries and to show the cordial feelings of the Pakistani people towards the government and people of Qatar, Students of Peshawar University celebrated the friendship between Qatar and Pakistan. A special issue of the magazine "The Pluralist" was published on this occasion, highlighting various aspects of bilateral relations.

H. E. Lt. Gen. Staff (Pilot), Ghanim Bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces met with H. E. Mr. Imran Khan, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at his office in Islamabad. During the meeting they discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them.

In a statement of His Excellency Mr. Saqr Bin Mubarak Al Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, he pointed out that the State of Qatar will seek to promote economic cooperation between the two countries. He stressed that during the visit of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, the importance of supporting Pakistan economically at this stage was discussed.
